Location: Swansea

Salary: £19 – £21K Dependant on experience – Full-time, Permanent


Overview of position:

  • Assist with the daily operation of the Payroll Bureau, ensuring that payrolls are processed accurately and on time and in accordance with established departmental procedures.

Key Deliverables:


  • To prepare accurate payroll records and ensure timely payments
  • To ensure GDPR compliance
  • To comply with all HMRC legislation including RTI / Auto-enrolment
  • To process BACS payments as an indirect submitter
  • To carry out special work as requested
  • To maintain payroll spreadsheets to ensure accurate audit trail records are kept
  • To process E-Submissions for the accuracy of employee tax codes
  • Input information to SAGE, IRIS, Xero and QuickBooks accounts software etc.
  • To ensure chargeable hours and recovery targets are met
  • Deliver information in a timely manner
  • Communicate to management progress on workload and plan for efficient completion
  • Communicate with clients in a positive and engaging manner
  • Carry out other tasks that may be assigned to you in order to support the Firm and your other colleagues


  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with office equipment
  • Knowledge of office management business support duties
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
