Reports To: Manager

Salary:  Dependant on experience and/or qualifications

Working Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Overview of position:

Assist with the daily operation of the Payroll Bureau, ensuring that payrolls are processed accurately and on time and in accordance with established departmental procedures. Also update digital accounting platforms such as Quickbooks, Xero and Sage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly and monthly payroll, including RTI submissions to HMRC.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Experience of at least one package: QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve all payroll queries.
  • To carry out special work as requested.
  • Processing SMP, SSP, pension and other deductions.
  • AAT (Desirable but not essential).
