Leading accountant Bevan Buckland LLP is well known for their work within the local community. Their fundraising efforts provide vital funds for their selected charities. Following their announcement that Kidney Wales had been chosen as the Firms charity of the year 2021, the team at Bevan Buckland LLP had been busy raising essential funds.
Harmony McCarthy and Laura Thorne run the firm’s charity committee and were just some of the team members instrumental in raising funds and awareness for Kidney Wales over the course of last year. They gathered along with representatives from Kidney Wales to present a cheque for £1340.

Kidney Wales was founded in 1967, initially to fund dialysis machines. The charity’s history has consisted of many key successes including campaigning for the change of law on organ donation in Wales to presumed consent, the funding of additional staff to enhance the patient experience such as social workers and playworkers and the complete renovation of the National Children’s Kidney Unit based at UHW in Cardiff. By now, the emphasis of Kidney Wales work has developed based on the needs of the Kidney Community. Our vision is to Unite the Welsh kidney community to enable world-class care, support and well-being services.
